Gators Open Weekend Back-to-Back at Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. –  Russell Sage College opened its weekend back-to-back by falling 22-5 at Misericordia.

Midfielder Shea Obado (Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood), a graduate student, paced the Gators with two goals, while sophomore goalkeeper Erik Reynolds (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) registered 10 saves in relief.

Misericordia (1-0), which led 8-1 after the opening quarter and 13-1 at the half, had seven players record multiple points in the home victory. Freshman attacker Connor Bevan led the Cougars with 11 points on nine goals and two assists.

RSC (0-2) plays at Wells tomorrow at 1:00 pm.


Notes: The Gators returned 20 players to this year's edition… Attacker Bailey Martin (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga Central), a graduate student headlines the group…He began the spring as the program career goal scoring leader with 58 and sat second in school annals with 86 career points and 28 career assists… Sophomore defender Joe Johnson (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls), senior attacker Anthony Abreu (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township), and junior midfielder Jake McElwee (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) were voted co-captains.
