Gators Roll to Third-Straight Win

ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College rolled to its third-consecutive win by defeating Wells 20-4 this afternoon at ACP Stadium.

The Gators (4-3), which led 9-1 after the opening quarter and 16-1 at the half, had 13 players register a point in the home non-conference victory.

Attackman Hunter Brunelle (Skaneateles, NY/Jordan-Elbridge), a grad student, led the offense with eight points on three goals and five assists. Senior attackman Bailey Martin (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga Central) added six points on four goals and two assists, while junior midfielder Anthony Abreu (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) netted four goals.

The duo of sophomore midfielder Dean Sampson (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) and midfielder Connor McCagg Hudson, NY/Hudson), a grad student, went 21-for-27 in the X, while senior goalie Michael Capitelli (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) and freshman goalie Erik Reynolds (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) combined for six saves.

Senior midfielder Quinten Battle topped Wells (0-3) with two goals.

Looking ahead, RSC hosts Saint Joseph's College - Long Island on Saturday at 4:00 pm.


Notes: The Gators scored 20 goals in a game for just the third time in program annals...The program record is 23 (March 2, 2020 vs. Mitchell)...Brunelle has totaled 20 points, eight goals and 12 assists, during the three-game winning streak...Martin has tallied 13 goals and five assists across the stretch.
