ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College senior midfielder Shea Obado (Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) registered a hat trick in tonight's 11-4 loss to visiting Dean College. The co-captain accomplished the feat on seven shots, four on goal, and added five groundballs and three caused turnovers.

Three Dean players registered four points apiece in the non-conference victory. Sophomore attack Diego Alvarez-Segge fired in four goals to lead the group.

The visiting Bulldogs (2-1) got started early, going up 7-0 late in the second quarter. Dean took advantage of some RSC penalties, netting three man-up goals during the opening 26:51 and four across its triumph.

The Gators battled back to get within five with 5:37 left in the third period. However, the visitors answered with two goals in 41 seconds to regain control.

Senior goalie Michael Capitelli (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) totaled 14 saves for RSC (1-3).

Looking ahead, the Gators play at Mitchell on Friday afternoon. The non-conference game is set to begin at 3:00 PM.
