Baldwinsville, N.Y. – Russell Sage College men's golf team wrapped up play on Sunday evening at the 2022 Empire 8 Fall Championship. The two-day event was held at Timber Banks Country Club, a par 72 course with a distance of 6,739 yards.
The Gators finished in sixth place (365-367- 732) in the team standings, while St. John Fisher University won the event after they combined for a 633 (314-319).
Oswego State's Ryan Fecco finished as the medalist with his 154 (+10) (77-77).
Sophomore Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) tied for 11th after he shot a two-day total of 169 (82-87). Sophomore Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne) took home a tie for 23rd place with a 177 (88-89).
Junior Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) had a 180 (89-91) to finish 28th, while rookie Hunter Brenneis (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) shot a 206 (106-100) and was 36th. Newcomer Sam Shaw (Cicero, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) carded a 210 (107-103) and took home 38th place.
