Men's Golf Takes Home Championship at RSC Fall Invitational

 

Voorheesville, N.Y. – Russell Sage College men's golf team was in action on Saturday hosting their fall invitational at Colonie Golf and Country Club. The Gators won the team title as they shot a 347 beating Elmira College (350) and SUNY-Cobleskill (358).

SUNY-Cobleskill's Josh House was the medalist after shooting a 74 for the par 76 course besting Elmira's Jack Finnerty who carded a 79.

For the Gators, junior Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) had a round of 80 to take home third place. Right behind him in fourth place with an 82 was sophomore Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne). Sophomore Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) turned in a round of 85 at the event and finished in sixth place.

Rookie Sam Shaw (Cicero, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) turned in a round of 100 to finish 11th.

Looking ahead, the Gators are back in action on Saturday, September 24-25 at the Oswego State Fall Invitational.
