Gators Tee Off At SUNY Cobleskill

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College opened its fall on Saturday by competing at the SUNY Cobleskill Fall Invitational, held at the 6,163 yard, par 70, Cobleskill Golf and Country Club.

Junior Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) led the Gators with an 81 across 18 holes.  The round was good to finish tied for 13th out of 38 golfers.

Sophomore Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) carded an 85 to finish second on RSC. Sophomore Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne) was right behind with an 86. Rounding out the RSC performers  this afternoon was freshman Hunter Brenneis (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook), who carded a 103.

The Gators team total of 355 (+75) was good for seventh among eight competing institutions.  NVU-Johnson won the Invitational with a team score of 311 (+31).

Looking ahead, the Gators are back in action on Tuesday, September 13 at the Elmira Fall Invitational.
