ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College is represented by four players on the Empire 8 Conference men's golf teams, announced earlier today.
All-Conference squads were based on results from the 2021-22 E8 Championship, in which the first two rounds took place on October 2-3 at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, NY and final 36 holes were played April 15-16 at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA.
Senior forward/center Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Tyler Christian School) and Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) earned second-team accolades. Phair tied for sixth with a four-round total of 325, while Pritchard (above), who earned All-Conference honors for the third-time as a Gator, tied for eighth with a score of 327.
Sophomore Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) received third-team All-Conference honors. He posted a score of 341 to finish 15th at E8s.
Freshman Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) rounded out the quartet of Gators recognized, making the E8 Sportsmen of the Year squad.
As a team, RSC finished fourth out of seven competing institutions.
Gator Golf Classic: The 17th annual Gator Golf Classic will be held on June 3rd at Colonie Country Club. Registration for the event is now open at: alumni.sage.edu/gatorgolf2022
