Carpenter Takes 2nd as RSC Wins Elmira Fall Invitational

Elmira, NY—Russell Sage College's men's golf team won their second straight tournament as the won the Elmira College Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The nine-team event saw the Gators score a 340 and win the tie-breaker with Hobart on the fifth-man's score.  The tournament was held at Elmira Country Club, a par 72 course. Oswego State's senior Ryan Fecco was the medalist after he shot an 80 for the day.

RSC's sophomore Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) shot an 81 and finished in second place on a match of cards. Rookie Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) shot an 84 on the day, while senior Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) carded an 85, while graduate player Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) shot a 90 and rounded out the Gator scorers. Senior Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Trinity Christian School) also shot a 90 and was the tie-breaker to help the Gators to their second straight team invitational title.

Next up the Gators travel to Oswego State to participate in the Lakers' Fall Invitational on September 25-26.
