At Sage:

  • Stuart Phair arrived at Sage from Australia in the fall of 2018. Along the way in his first season, he was saluted as the Empire 8 Rookie of the Week on December 3, 2018.
  • He played in 23 games a year ago with a 4.0 ppg and a 2.8 rpg average as a newcomer. He shot 50.8% from the floor (32-63), while also adding 13 blocks. He added a career-best 20 points against St. Joe’s-Brooklyn (11/17/18) and 11 rebounds in the same contest and finished as the team’s high scorer and rebounder in the game.
  • As a sophomore, he joined Sage’s men’s golf team and made dramatic improvement in his play in every tournament over the course of the fall. He helped Sage to a fourth place finish at the 2019 Empire 8 Fall Championship.
  • As a member of the basketball team in 2019-2020, he helped to lead the Gators to their first Empire 8 Tournament appearance. A starter in all 26 games, he added a personal-best 7.4 ppg with 5.5 rpg. He also led the team with 35 blocks.
  • Along the way as a sophomore he added a pair of double-doubles, while finishing in double digit scoring 10 times. He added a career-high for points and rebounds after scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds as Sage beat Maine-Presque Isle.
  • In just two seasons on the hardwood, Phair is already making an impact on the career records as he is currently seventh in career blocks with 48, while ranking 17th in career rebounds with 207 and is 14th in career field goal percentage with his 48.8% average.

  • He was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List in the Fall of 2019 after earning a spot as a Sage Scholar-Athlete honoree as well.
