A newcomer to the men’s golf team in the fall of 2016, Jared Almy was a two-sport student-athlete as he also played for the Sage Men’s Volleyball Team for two seasons
In volleyball, he played in 45 sets and added 26 digs. A defensive specialist, he averaged 0.62 digs per set having started two of 25 matches he played in as a freshman.
In 2018 as a member of the volleyball team, the defensive specialist played in 15 matches in 18 sets.
He made significant strides in his golf game in 2018-2019.
As a member of the team in the Fall of2019, he had a number of impressive performances.
The season opened at SUNY-Cobleskill helping the Gators to a third place team finish after he fired a 93.
He had his best round of the fall after carding an 88 at the Elmira College Fall Invitational.
He capped the fall campaign by taking 29th at the Empire 8 Fall Championship, after posting a two-day score of 184 (93-91).

He is majoring in chemistry at Sage.
High School:
A graduate of Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, Almy excelled in soccer, volleyball, and baseball, earning team MVP honors in soccer.
Served as a team captain in both soccer and volleyball. Led volleyball team to regional finalist showing.
Earned academic acclaim as a National Honor Society Student.
