Sage takes 8th place at 2019 Empire 8 Spring Championship

Hershey, PA—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team wrapped up competition at the two-day 2019 Empire 8 Spring Championship at the Hershey Country Club. They played on the East Course, a par 71 course with a distance of 6,584 yards. St. John Fisher College won the team's ninth straight team championship as they posted a two-day total of 609 (301-308). Sage finished in eighth place with a two-day total of 736 (373-363).

Oswego State's Sean Paul Owen was the medalist after he finished with a 147 (77-70).

Sage's sophomore Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) finished tied for 27th with his 169 (85-84). Junior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 36th place with an 89-91 for a 180.  Freshman Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) picked up a tie for 39th place on a 191 (95-96).  Junior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished in 41st place with a 196 on rounds of 104-92.
