Pritchard stands tied for 10th after Day One of Elms Invite

 

South Hadley, MA—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team travelled to Massachusetts on Saturday to compete in the Elms College Trailblazer Invitational, a two-day tournament held at the Ledges Country Club. After one-day of play, Husson College holds the lead in the 17-team field with a 299. The Gators stand in ninth place with a one day total of 332. Western New England University's Ryan Zogby stands atop the leaderboard with a two under par, score of 70.

Sage's sophomore Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) posted a 76 to stand tied for 10th place through Saturday. He finished the day with five birdies, including three straight birdies to finish his round. Junior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) posted an 82 through the first round and is tied for 34th place.

Sage's freshman Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) carded an 84 and is tied for 43rd place. Junior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) shot a round of 90 and is tied for 68th place.

Action wraps on Sunday with an 11:00 a.m. start at the Country Club in South Hadley, MA.
