Oswego, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team wrapped up play on Sunday at the 21 Annual Oswego State Invitational. Sage finished in 10th place for the tournament with a 710 (360-350). Sage stood in ninth place after one day of action with a score of 360, while the Lakers of Oswego State's "A" Team which fired a 309 and was in first. Leading the way for the Lakers was Corey Marshall, who was just one over par after carding a 72. Marshall finished as the medalist picking up a two-day score of 148 after shooting 76 on Sunday.
Sage's sophomore Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) posted an 82 on day one and stood in a tie for 21st place. He posted an 82 on Sunday and finished in 23rd place with a 164.
Freshman Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) posted an 86 on day one and 91on day two to finish with a score of 177 and was tied for 42nd place. Junior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) picked up a tie for 46th place on a two-day score of 182 after a round one score of 97 and a day two score of 85.
Junior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished in tied for 50th place after posting a two-day score of 187 on rounds of 95 and 92. Senior Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) took home 55th place on a score of 212 (110-102).
Next up for the Gators, they will host a tournament on October 2 at Colonie Golf and Tennis Club as they host SUNY-Cobleskill and Northern Vermont University with a noon start.
