Pritchard fires a 79 to take third at Cobleskill Jug Championship

Cobleskill, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team opened the 2018 season on Friday travelling to compete in the Cobleskill Jug Championship. The Gators posted a tie for fifth on the day after posting a score of 332 for the round. The host Fighting Tigers of Cobleskill won the eight-team event with their round of 318 and produced the medalist in Joe Perry who shot a 76 for the day.

Sage's sophomore Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) had a strong showing leading Sage with his 79 and was tied for third overall with a round that was plus nine. Newcomer Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) posted an 81 and took home a tie for 10th.

Junior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added a 15th place finish after shooting 82.

Junior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) added score of 90 to finish tied for 33rd place. Senior Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) picked up 47th place with a 102, while another newcomer, Adam Parker (Quechee, VT/Hartford) added a 48th place finish with a 104 for the day.

Sage returns to action on September 15-16 at the 2018 Empire 8 Fall Championship at Timber Lakes Golf Course in Baldwinsville, NY.
