Sage golfers wrap season at SUNY-Cobleskill Spring Meet

Cobleskill, NYThe Sage Colleges' men's golf team competed on Friday at the 2016 SUNY-Cobleskill Spring Invitational at SUNY-Cobleskill Golf Course. A 6,163 yard par 70 course, the host Fighting Tigers captured the team crown with a round of 307. SUNY-Cobleskill also had the medalist as Ian Wilson fired a round of 73 for the tournament. Sage picked up a fifth place showing the team standings with a 441 for the day.

Leading the way for the Gators was rookie Ryan Fairweather (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) as he finished in 21st place with a round of 102. Senior Dan Schilde (Sharon Springs, NY/Sharon Springs Central) posted a 110 for the day and was next in 24th place, while senior Sam Moquin (Watervliet, NY/Watvliet) carded a 113 and took home 25th place.

Junior Brett Ullman (Sharon Springs, NY/Sharon Springs Central) shot 116 and picked up 27th, while sophomore Kevin Saar (Binghamton, NY/Windsor Central) picked up 28th with his 121. Senior Melvin Ford (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) picked up 29th place with a round of 127.
