Gators wrap 2013-2014 season at Elms Invitational

Granby, MA – The Sage Colleges' men's golf team travelled to Massachusetts to compete at the Elms College Trailblazer Invitational. The event was held at the Westover Golf Course, a par 72, 6,718 yard course.  Castleton State College won the team title with a round of 307 in the field of 11 teams. Sage picked up ninth place after combining for a score of 358 on the day.

Rookie Kevin Johnston (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville) carded an 81 for the day to finish in a tie for 20th place. Senior Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hill-Ballston Lake) shot an 84 and tied for 29th place, while junior DJ Ioele (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) shot a 94 and picked up a tie for 45th place.

Senior captain Richie Christman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) was next for Sage with a 99 and finished in a tie for 53rd place.

The event marks the end of the 2013-2014 season and the careers of a number of talented Sage performers, Christman, Sullivan, Jennifer Zoufaly (Latham, NY/Shaker), Sarah MacArthur (Ancram, NY/Taconic Hills) and graduate student, Jeff Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville).
