Gator Golfers Wrap play at Saint Rose Fall Shootout as Sullivan takes home third place

Guilderland, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's golf team travelled to the nearby College of Saint Rose Fifth Annual Fall Shootout. After two days of competition, the Gators took home fifth place in the 10-team event held at the Pinehaven Country Club. Division II LeMoyne College posted the win with a two-day total of 593, while Sage posted a 624 to finish in fifth.

Sage senior Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hill-Ballston Lake) finished third place overall after posting a two-day score of 147, just one stroke behind the winner, LeMoyne's John Clare (146). Sullivan carded a 72 on day-one and shot a 75 in the last round.

Sage's senior captain Richie Christman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) finished in a tie for 14th with a 156 (75-81).  Rookie Kevin Johnston (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville) was the next scorer for Sage taking 23rd place in a tie with a 159 (78-81).

Senior Jeff Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) took home 32nd place in a tie after carding a 164 (84-80). Junior D.J. Ioele (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) added a tie for 39th place on a 167 (82-85), while senior Gerard Beaudin (Delmar, NY/Home Schooled) picked up 53rd place on a 180 (96-84).
