Gators take 6th at Trailblazer Invitational

Granby, MA---- The Sage Colleges men's golf team competed on Wednesday at the Elms College Trailblazer Invitational at Westover Country Club. The host Trailblazers won the 14-team event and had the medalist as Henry Fall shot a 74 and paced the team to a score of 310. Sage picked up a sixth place showing and was paced by a pair of players that finished among the top ten at the event, a par 72 course.

Sage's sophomore Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY/Tupper Lake) finished in a tie for fourth place with his round of 77. Junior Dan Schulz (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin Perth) carded a 78 and finished tied for eighth place. Junior Ian Pingelski (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) with a round of 82 and placed 24th.

Sophomore Rich Christman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) finished in 35th place with an 86. Next for the Gators was senior Nick Osowicki (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) with a 102 to finish in 63rd place.

Sage returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2 at the 2011 ECAC Division III Championships at Hampden C.C. in Hampden, MA.
