Gators take third place at rain-shortened Farmingdale Invitational

Farmingdale, NY---- The Sage Colleges men's golf team competed on Friday at the Farmingdale State Fall Invitational. The event was held at the Bethpage Red Course. The event was shortened to a nine-hole event after heavy rains forced the course to close on Friday.

Farmingdale's Adam Larkin was the medalist with a round of 36, one over par for the rain-shortened event.

Sage's sophomore Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY/Tupper Lake) finished in a tie for third place with his round of 38. Tied for ninth place was junior Ian Pingelski (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) with a round of 40.

Sophomore Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) was next with a round of 41, which was good enough for a tie for 12th place. Junior Dan Schulz (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin Perth) carded a 42 and tied for 17th place. Sophomore Rich Christman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) finished in 22nd place with a 46.

Sage returns to action on Wednesday, September 28 at the Elms College Blazer Invitational.
