McLaughlin Records First Collegiate Double-Double at Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College began this weekend's Empire 8 Conference road back-to-back by falling 86-57 at Keuka tonight.

Junior guard/forward Jackson Brown (Latham, NY/Catholic Central/Fredonia State) topped the Gators with 15 points, while freshman guard Mike McLaughlin (Clearwater, FL/Clearwater) registered career-highs of 11 points and ten rebounds for his first collegiate double-double.

Keuka (7-8/3-7 E8), which was up 46-17 at the half, had four players score in twin figures. Senior guard Devin Milton led the way with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while junior forward Jaden Keasey added 19 points on 50.0 percent shooting, and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, RSC (3-14/1-9 E8) wraps up a stretch of four-consecutive road games tomorrow at 4:00 pm at Utica.


Notes: The Gators, coming off an Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament appearance, graduated all five starters from last season…Nine players, accounting for just 21.22 percent of scoring and 16.82 percent of rebounding, are back…They joined nine newcomers to make up this year's roster…Sophomore guard Noah Girard (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) and guard Ryan Long (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park), a graduate student, were voted co-captains...Head Coach Brian Barnes, now in his 14th season, began the campaign with a 167-153 overall record.
