Albany, NY – Russell Sage College's Head Men's Basketball Coach Brian Barnes has announced several special promotions in conjunction with the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

In conjunction with the 2022-2023 home opener as the Gators host SUNY-Poly on Saturday, November 19 at 1 p.m., the men's basketball team will be holding a pre-Thanksgiving food drive. They are collecting non-perishable food and can goods for a donation to the Capital City Rescue Mission.

On Tuesday, November 22 as the Gators host an afternoon doubleheader. RSC is sponsoring the NCAA's Take a Kid to the Game (TAKG). The women's game tips at 3 p.m. and the men's game follows at 5 p.m. Here is your chance to bring a child to see the Gators and be a part of the special fan section known as the Swamp!

On Friday, December 2, the men's team will be holding their "Jersey Night." Here is your chance to break out your favorite player or team's jersey as you cheer on the Gators. The women's basketball game is at 5:30 and the men's game follows at 7:30 p.m. as RSC hosts Utica University in the team's Empire 8 openers.

The Gators are looking for their fourth consecutive Empire 8 Tournament appearance this season as they were also saluted in 2021-2022 as the recipient of the Schoenfield Sportsmanship Award by the Collegiate Basketball Officials Association. RSC was selected for the award by the referees, who are members of the CBOA.

RSC plays their home games at the Robinson Court in the Kahl Campus Center in Albany, NY. There is no charge for admission.
