ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College senior forward/center Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Tyler Christian School) was named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 16.

He averaged 12.5 points on 60% shooting as the Gators went 2-0 last week. The senior forward/center grabbed eight rebounds per-game in the pair of E8 road wins. He scored a season-high 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting in Saturday's win at Houghton.

Looking ahead, RSC (8-5/2-2 E8) is slated to host Utica on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

Notes: Saturday afternoon marked the fourth time that Phair scored 20+ points as a Gator...He scored a career-high 22 on Nov. 16, 2019 vs. Me.-Presque Isle...Phair, who ranks second in program annals with 83 career blocks, is a co-captain on the year's team.
