RSC Wins at Houghton 74-69

HOUGHTON, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College completed the weekend Empire 8 Conference sweep by winning 74-69 this afternoon at Houghton.

The Gators (8-5/2-2 E8), which led 45-20 at the break, had three players score in double figures in the road victory.

Senior forward/center Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Tyler Christian School) (above) led all participants with 21 points. The co-captain, who shot 10-of-13 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds. Senior guard Jalon Borders (Bartow, FL/Bartow) added 18 points, while senior guard Amani Cummings (Brooklyn, NY/Transit Tech) contributed 15 points. Senior forward/center Fethener Aime (Palm Coast, FL/Flagler Palm Coast) secured double-digits rebounds for the second-straight game with 11 rebounds.

Sophomore forward Josh Jordan topped Houghton (1-11/1-2 E8) with 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting.

Looking ahead, RSC is slated to host Utica on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
