ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College senior guard Jalon Borders (Bartow, FL/Bartow) was named the Co-Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 21.

Borders, a two-time first-team All-Conference pick, topped the Gators with 20.5 points per-game in the 2-0 week.  He knocked down 48.1 percent (13-of-27) of his shots, and averaged 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 steals.

The senior guard registered a double-double of 23 points, on 8-of-14 shooting, and ten rebounds in Saturday's win at SUNY Poly. He netted five of his game-high 18 points in the final minute to help RSC seal Wednesday's home victory vs. Castleton.

Looking ahead, the Gators (4-1) play at Mount St. Mary on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.

Notes: Borders passed Ryan Sager '13 for seventh on the program's career points vs. Worcester State on November 12…Next on the list for Borders, now with 784 points, is Kai Deans '15 at 826.
