Sage men finish December play with 74-72 win over SUNY-Delhi

Delhi, NY- The Gators posted a 74-72 road win over SUNY-Delhi on Friday night to improve to 5-4 this year. Sage led 41-39 at the half and earned the win.

Sage's senior Darius Denmark's (Orlando, FL/Evans) hit a pair of free throws at :10 to give Sage a five point lead before the Broncos Justin Daoud hit a three pointer at the buzzer to pull his team within two points.

For the game, sophomore forward Charles Davis (Bronx, NY/Fannie Lou Hamer) had a career-best 20 points. He made 7-of-9 field goals along the way.

Sophomore Jalon Borders (Bartow, FL/Bartow) had a double-double as he scored 13 points with a career-high 10 rebounds. Sophomore Jason Geronimo (Orlando, FL/Colonial) pulled down a career-best 14 rebounds with four points. Denmark finished with nine points as did sophomore guard Amani Cummings (Brooklyn, NY/Transit Tech).

Sage is back in action on January 2 travelling to Castleton University for a non-conference game at 7 p.m.
