New York, NY— Senior forward Davon Sylvester (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Hayes) was named the Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, marking the first selection for the Gator.

In the team's lone game of the week, Sylvester finished with 14 points for the contest as Sage dropped a heart breaker, 82-77 on the road to Worcester State University. Sylvester led the team in the first half with nine points and finished the night with eight rebounds. For the game, he shot 55.6% from the floor, converting 5-of-9 field goals with a pair of assists and a steal.

On the 2016-2017 season, Sylvester has started all 10 games with an 11.0 ppg average as well as a 5.9 rpg average. He owns a blistering hot 53.1 field goal percentage on the season, while also leading Sage with his 24 assists.

Sage is back in action on January 4 at Purchase College for an 8 p.m. Skyline Conference match-up on the road.
