Gill honored as Skyline Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week

New York, NY--Sage's senior guard Travis Gill (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian) earned Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week honors after a strong shooting display that included a 19.5 points per game average in the Gators' two Skyline victories. He went 14-for-21 from the floor (.667), while only missing one of seven 3-point field goals (.857). He was true on all four trifectas in a 12-point outing against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and rounded out the week with a season-high-tying 27 points (10-for-13 FG, 2-for-3 3FG) versus Maritime.

On the year, Gill has an 11.5 ppg average with a 4.5 rpg average in 22 starts. He ranks No. 4 all-time with his 131 assists, while standing No. 9 with 21 blocks and No. 10 with 52 steals in just two seasons with the Gators.

Sage stands at 15-7 overall, while owns a 13-4 mark in the Skyline, which puts the Gators in second place as they head into the final three Skyline Conference regular-season games of the season.

The Gators will visit the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Thursday, February 11 for a 7:30 p.m. league game, while hosting Yeshiva University on Sunday, February 14 at 3 p.m. in Kahl Gym. Sunday's home contest will mark the final regular-season home game for the 2015-2016 Sage Gators' five seniors, Dan Schilde (Sharon Springs, NY/Sharon Springs Central), Gill,
Jorrdan McCray (Orlando, FL/Wekiva), Andre Robinson (Fort Pierce, FL/Fort Pierce Westwood), and Melvin Ford (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional).

Sage will hold their Senior Day activities on Sunday in conjunction with Super Hero Day as the Gators will have prizes for their fans dressed as super heros on Sunday!
