Ullman shatters Sage three-point mark after burying 7 straight three's; Gators triumph 96-48

Albany, NY –The Sage College's men's basketball team hosted the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday night in a Skyline Conference match-up and triumphed 96-48. The Gators extended their win streak to three games while tying the program's single-season victory mark as well as they improve to 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the Skyline. SLC drops 1-17 overall and 0-12 in the conference.

Sage's sophomore guard Brett Ullman (Sharon Springs, NY/Sharon Springs Central) broke the program's single-game mark for most three pointers with seven three-pointer. He bettered the mark held by Pat Lanoue (6 vs. S. Vermont, 1/4/12) as he opened the contest making his first seven consecutive three-point baskets and finished the night with a 7-8 effort from three-point range. He finished the contest with a career-high 21 points to lead all scorers. He also hauled in a game-leading nine rebounds and had two blocks with three steals to pace Sage.

Junior guard Jorrdan McCray (Orlando, FL/Wekiva) chipped in 16 points, while junior forward Melvin Ford (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) added 15 points. Sophomore forward Marcus Patterson (Bronx NY/Mount Saint Michael Academy) added 13 points off the bench with four rebounds and two blocked shots.

Sage has tied the single-season victory mark set last year when the Gators went 15-11. Sage returns to action on February 5 hosting Maritime College in a 7 p.m. a Skyline game at bettering last year's win total.
