Deans named Skyline Co-Player of the Week for his play in leading Gators

New York, NY –The Sage College's men's basketball player, senior tri-captain Kai Deans (Miami, FL/Monsignor Pace) was named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week for his efforts in leading the Gators to a 2-0 week. Sage stands at an impressive 4-1 on the year and will be in action on December 2 when the team visits Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference road contest at 7 p.m.

Deans averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while making 16 of his 24 field goal attempts in leading Sage to a 2-0 week. He scored a game-high 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting and added six boards and two blocks in the Gators' 66-64 win at Cobleskill on November 30. He also had 12 points and nine boards on November 25 as Sage posted a 77-65 victory at RPI.

Deans, who was named to the Skyline Conference honor roll last week, leads the team with his 15.4 ppg average. A five-game starter, he is also hauling in 7.0 rpg with a 55.1% FG% (27-49), while shooting 85.2% from the line (23-27).
