A three-sport letterwinner in high school at Fort Lee High School, DaShaun Washington arrives at Sage with an extensive career resume. As a senior and team captain, he earned first-team all-league acclaim and third team all-county acclaim. He was ranked seventh in the county in scoring and 28^th in the state, while also connecting for his 1,000^th career point. He was also nominated to play in the County All-Star game and helped his basketball team excel during his career. As a junior, the team won the league title and finished the season as a semifinalist in the state tournament with one of the best performances in school history.

Washington also participated in track and football at Fort Lee and is majoring in early childhood development at Sage. He is the son of Dawn Mitchell.
