RSC Field Hockey Players among National Statistical Leaders

Indianapolis, IN – Russell Sage College's field hockey team had several players nationally ranked with the release of the final statistics for the 2022 campaign.

Rookie goalie Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union) ranked 41st nationally with her 7.07 saves per game average, which also ranked fifth highest in the Empire 8 this past fall. She also had a .688 saves percentage that ranked sixth in the Empire 8 and 129th nationally. For the season, she was a nine-game starter with a 5.41 goals against average, while helping the team collect a shutout win as well.

The team also had four players that ranked nationally with their performance as defenders with their defensive saves.

Sophomore Megan Daniels (Groveland, MA/Pentucket) was ranked No. 2 in the Empire 8 and No. 9 nationally with her nine defensive saves, while Shauna Launoue (Troy, NY/Columbia) was 40th nationally, rookie Tayler Haslob (Monroe, CT/Masuk) was 65th and tied with rookie team mate, Eve Tonks (Millbury, MA/North Brookfield). Daniels, who played in all 15 matches, led the team with her nine defensive saves, while Lanoue had five defensive saves, while also adding two goals as well. Haslob, was a 15-game starter and had four defensive saves, while Tonks added four as well in 11 appearances.
