ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College hosted Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this evening at UAlbany. The Engineers (6-6) scored four goals in the opening period on their way to defeat the Gators 7-0.

Freshman goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union) (Loss, 0-4) stopped 16 RPI shots. Sophomore defender Megan Daniels (Groveland, MA/Pentucket) added three defensive saves, while sophomore midfielder/forward Shauna Lanoue (Troy, NY/Columbia), freshman midfielder Eve Tonks (Millbury, MA/North Brookfield), and midfielder Makenna Barton (Oriskany, NY/Rome Free Academy), a grad student, each made one.

Sophomore midfielder Abby Peterson and sophomore forward Rachel Banister each scored twice to pace the RPI offense.

The Gators (0-10) are slated to be back in action on Thursday afternoon vs. Wells.
