Field hockey squad falls at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College's field hockey team traveled to Hartwick College on Wednesday afternoon for an Empire 8 match-up with the Hawks. Hartwick triumphed 9-0 and improves to 5-4 overall and 4-0 in the league, while the loss puts RSC at 0-8 overall and 0-4 in the league.

Hartwick jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter and led 7-0 at the intermission. Eight different players scored in the contest, while Ashley Tricarico scored twice in the game.
RSC's sophomore goalkeeper Anna Church (Ludlow, VT/Green Mountain Union) Church, who ranks 12th nationally in Division III with her 9.714 saves per game average, recorded 10 saves in the contest.

The Gators are back in action at home on Friday night, October 7 hosting Nazareth in an E8 contest set to begin at UAlbany at 6:00 p.m. Prior to the game, the Gators will honor their seniors in conjunction with Senior Night.
