Greier ties single-game saves mark in setback at Utica

Utica, NY — Russell Sage College field hockey team travelled to Utica College for the team's Empire 8 match-up with the Pioneers. Utica earned an 8-0 win to move to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the league, while the loss puts the Gators at 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the league.

While the Gators did not manage a goal in the contest, RSC's senior goalie Abigayle Greier (Elma, NY/Iroquois Central) made the most of her night as she  tied the Sage single-game saves mark along the way. She racked up 24 saves on 57 shots faced. She tied her previous mark from the team's game with Oswego State on September 8, 2021. Greier drops to 1-6 in net this fall. She continues to add to her active career record as well she now has 332 career saves in goal for the Gators.

RSC is back in action on September 29 hosting Union College in a 7 p.m. contest.
