Greier sets single-match saves mark as Gators fall at Oswego

Oswego, NY — Russell Sage College field hockey team travelled to Oswego State for a night non-league conference with the Lakers. Oswego jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first quarter and would finish the night with a 6-0 win. Oswego State remains perfect at 4-0 this year, while the Gators drop to 1-2 on the year.

While the Gators did not manage a goal in the contest, RSC's senior goalie Abigayle Greier (Elma, NY/Iroquois Central) made the most of her night as she broke the Sage single-game saves mark along the way. She racked up 24 saves on 51 shots faced. She surpassed her previous mark from the 2018 season as she had 18 saves against Stevens on  October 27, 2018.  Greier drops to 1-2 in net this fall. She continues to add to her active career record as well she now has 265 career saves in goal for the Gators.

Oswego's State got two goals from Kaitlyn Mastracco in the contest.

RSC is back in action on September 11 travelling to Nazareth College for a 1 p.m. Empire 8 contest.
