ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College pitcher Matthew Denatale (Rhinebeck, NY/Rhinebeck), a graduate student, was selected the Empire 8 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 3.

The lefty tossed seven shutout innings to help the Gators (9-11/3-2 E8) complete the sweep of Sunday's E8 doubleheader at Elmira. He permitted just five hits and struck out four.

RSC, in the midst of a stretch of six games in five days, is slated to play next tomorrow afternoon at Union.
