ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College had a pair of players earn weekly Empire 8 Conference honors for the period ending Sunday, February 26.

Sophomore Liam Doyle (West Sayville, NY/Connetquot) was selected the Pitcher of the Week. The righty allowed just four hits, two earned runs and struck out seven across 6.1 innings on Sunday at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Senior outfielder James Lubanski (Port Washington, NY/Paul D. Schreiber) took home Player of the Week accolades. The newcomer went 4-for-7 with a run scored and two RBI as the Gators dropped both ends of the season-opening doubleheader.

Up next for RSC (0-2) is ten games down in Florida between March 4-11.
