ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College infielder Christian Brown (Troy, NY/Troy) was named the Empire 8 Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 3.

The freshman went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI in Saturday's doubleheader at Utica. Brown, who slashed .600/1.400/.750, doubled and homered as the Gators split the E8 twin-bill.

RSC (4-14/1-1 E8) plays two this afternoon at Utica. First pitch of the conference doubleheader is at 1:00 PM.
