RSC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM EARNS SPECIAL MENTION FROM WBCA FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

WBCA announces 2021-22 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls

ATLANTA (July 20, 2022) – Russell Sage College's women's basketball team and head coach Allison Coleman were recognized today with the announcement of the 2021-22 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls. The Gators, which earned another appearance spot in the 2021-2022 Empire 8 tournament, advanced to the semifinals this past season. They were named to the WBCA's Special Mention list for having compiled a team grade point average of 3.635, which stands 27^th best among the nation's Division III programs.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2021-22 season is the 27th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

This year's release marks the first year in which all teams which reported a minimum 3.0 GPA also are recognized for their academic accomplishment.
