RSC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM EARNS SPECIAL MENTION FROM WBCA FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

WBCA announces 2021-22 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls

ATLANTA (July 20, 2022) – Russell Sage College's women's basketball team and head coach Allison Coleman were recognized today with the announcement of the 2021-22 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls. The Gators, which earned another appearance spot in the 2021-2022 Empire 8 tournament, advanced to the semifinals this past season. They were named to the WBCA's Special Mention list for having compiled a team grade point average of 3.635, which stands 27th best among the nation's Division III programs.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2021-22 season is the 27th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

This year's release marks the first year in which all teams which reported a minimum 3.0 GPA also are recognized for their academic accomplishment.
