Albany, NY — Nearly 20 Russell Sage College's student-athletes participated on Wednesday in their Chomper's Reading Program. RSC, which partnered with Second and Seven in 2017, visited with students at Troy's School 2 on Wednesday, reading to students in kindergarten, first and second grades. Additionally, RSC student-athletes talked with students in the fifth grade at the school about the path to college.

RSC distributed books donated to every student that were donated by the Second and Seven Foundation. The mission of The 2nd & 7 Foundation is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward. Sage's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) has been very active with their Chompers' Reading program for the past nine years and is very excited to have joined forces with Second and Seven to help with their mission.
