Hilton, NY — The United Volleyball Conference announced its All-Academic List for the 2020 season and recognized 43 student-athletes from the league's nine full-time members for their contributions on the court and their excellence in the classroom. Sage junior defensive specialist Dan Mackey (Westerlo, NY/Greenville Central) was named to the squad for the third consecutive year.

A health sciences major at Sage with a path to physical therapy, Mackey has earned multiple selections to the Empire 8 Presidents' List, as well as four citations as a Sage Scholar-Athlete Team member. This past spring he was also named to Sage's Athletic Honor Society. A Dean's List honoree every semester, he is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

This marks the seventh year the UVC has recognized academic achievement. Recipients of this Academic List must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale), a 4.10 (on a 5.00 scale) or an 82 (on a 100 point scale) during the spring semester. In addition, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.
