The Sage Colleges' department of athletics has selected Caitlin Moeller (Kingston, NY/Onteora) as the newest member of the staff as she will serve as an assistant athletic trainer. Moeller, a 2014 graduate of SUNY Brockport, has served since the summer of 2016 as the athletic trainer for recreational sports at Georgia College and State University-Milledgeville.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity to join The Sage Colleges' Athletics staff," noted Moeller. She added, "I have always been very passionate about Division III Athletics, and this is the perfect place to continue my athletic training career. I look forward to supporting our athletics programs and helping them grow!"

A former Division III student-athlete at SUNY Brockport, she excelled as member of the track and field team for the Golden Eagles. A Dean's list student at Brockport, she was also active with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and earned numerous academic honors during her collegiate career. Following graduation from SUNY Brockport in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training and kinesiology, she earned her Master's degree in sports medicine in 2016 from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. In her current role at Georgia College, she provides athletic training services for 21 club sports and intramural teams.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, she holds certification from the NATA, the American Heart Association as a Basic Life Support Provider, the American Red Cross as a professional rescuer with CPR and AED certification as well as standard first aid.

She joins Sage's Athletic Training staff this February and will bring her valuable skills and knowledge with her after garnering considerable experience both at Georgia College and at Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Sage's Director of Athletics, Sandy Augstein-Collins talked about Moeller, remarking, "I am thrilled to announce that Caitlin Moeller will be joining the Sage Athletic Department as one of our Assistant Athletic Trainers." She continued, "Her passion for athletic training and as well as her desire to work with Division III student-athletes will make a big impact with the Gators very quickly!  I'm looking forward to the impact that she will have on our athletic programs going forward."
