Albany, NY---Sage's junior forward River seybolt (Selden, NY/Longwood) has been a leader for Sage on the soccer field for Gator men's team since arriving on campus on the fall of 2015. This fall River also has been a leader of the field helping to tell his story of recovery after being diagnosed in November 2016 with testicular cancer. After a long and hard-fought battle, River not only returned to school last spring, but he returned to play soccer for the Gators this fall. He capped his junior year by breaking the program's career goal scoring record and the all-time point record at Sage and was tapped as the 2017 Empire 8 Men's Soccer Player of the Year.
