Albany, NY –The Sage College’s men’s and women’s outdoor track and field squads were represented on Saturday by a handful of competitors at the UAlbany’s Purple and Gold Last Chance Meet.

Sage’s senior Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) competed in the high jump looking to improve upon her ECAC qualifying mark in the event. She finished eighth with her leap of 1.57 meters, which did not improve upon her mark that already earned her a spot in the upcoming ECAC Division III Championships at Springfield College, May 14-15. Her best performance of the season in the event is a mark of 1.62 meters.

Competing in the 100 and 200 meter runs for Sage was graduate performer Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy). He posted a time of 11.27 in the trials of the 100 meters, but did not qualify for the finals as he was 12th in his heat. He posted a 10th place finish in the 200 meters with his time of 22.91, bettering his time from last week’s Matthew Vassar Twighlight Meet.

Sophomore Eric Denny (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) was in action in the long jump and the high jump. He was sixth in the high jump, hitting a mark of 1.82 meters. He added an 11th place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.42 meters.
