Sage's Daigle and Krowicki cited by Skyline

New York, NY – The Sage College’s had two players honored by the Skyline Conference with selections to the weekly honors. An additional men’s volleyball player earned a spot on the Honor Roll.

Senior men’s volleyball co-captain Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) had a pair of double-doubles in two matches as Sage’s men’s volleyball team went 2-0. He was named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week for his play that included 39 kills with 23 digs and a .415 hitting percentage. He also became Sage’s all-time career point leader with his 1,098.5 career points. He also holds Sage’s career records for most kills (942), while ranking No. 2 in digs (616), and No. 3 in total blocks (132).

Krowicki has a team-best 250 kills and is also leading the Gators with his .229 attack percentage. He now has 942 career kills and 616 digs. He has 1098.5 career points and is now No. 1 in career kills and points. On the 2014 season, he has 28 blocks with 287.0 points in 64 sets played with 16 aces. He ranks nationally in the latest NCAA Div. 3 stats. He is No. 11 in points per set (4.48), No. 11 in kills per set (3.91) and No. 20 in digs per set (2.59).

Senior opposite Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) was named to the Honor Roll as well. Against Yeshiva, he added 12 kills with five digs, while connecting for15 kills with six digs in the win over NYU-Poly. Sullivan has played in 55 sets with 88 kills. He also has 63 digs with 27 total blocks thus far in his first season playing volleyball. He has 110.5 points on the year, which is second for the Gators.

Sage’s men’s volleyball team is in action on Tuesday night travelling to Bard College for a 7 p.m. match. Next home action for the Gators is on April 4 when they host No. 3 ranked SUNY-New Paltz at 7 p.m. in the Kahl Gym.

Sage’s freshman pitcher Erika Daigle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) earned Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. She worked a complete game in earning the win over SUNY-IT (9-1, five innings) as she fanned seven and allowed just one earned run off one hit. On the year, she worked in a team-leading 43.1 innings thus far and is 3-2 with a team-best 53 K’s. Her 53 K’s is ranked No. 10 on the Gators single-season list. She has a 3.39 ERA has two complete games to her credit. 

Sage returns to action on both April 1 and April 2 hosting two opponents, whose fields were unplayable for contests. The Gators will host Skidmore College on April 1 in a non-conference doubleheader at Robison Field at 3:30 p.m. and SUNY-Cobleskill on April 2 at 4 p.m. in a doubleheader.
