Sage's Madden and Putriment honored by Skyline Conference

New York, NY--Two members of Sage fall teams were named Skyline Conference Players of the Week in their respective sports. Named this week's Men's Soccer Player of the Week from Sage is senior goalie Tim Madden (Watertown, NY/Watertown), while junior outside hitter Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) earned another citation as the Skyline Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.

Men's Soccer

Tim Madden led the Gators to a pair of wins in goal with his performance that included one shutout victory. He had a 0.50 goals against average for the week, while stopping a penalty kick in one contest. He has quietly penned his name to many of Sage’s goalkeeping records as he has started 21 games in goal with 26 appearances in goal in 2,088 minutes with 101 career saves, all Sage marks. He owns a .759 career saves percentage with a 1.38 career GAA.

Women's Volleyball

Helen Putriment earns her fourth Skyline Player of the Week citation of the season as she averaged 3.55 digs and 3.09 kills with a .370 attack percentage in a 2-1 week for the Gators. She also had a match-high 16 kills and recorded 19 digs on Oct. 5 in a 3-2 win over St. Joseph’s-L.I. She compiled 10 kills and eight digs as Sage posted a 3-0 victory against Mount Saint Vincent on Oct. 5. Her 900 career kills place her sixth in program, while she continues her climb in the career dig book with 1,150, which is No. 10 at Sage.
