SAGE TO SPONSOR NCAA’S TAKE A KID TO THE GAME ON JANUARY 7 IN CONJUNCTION WITH HOME BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER

Albany, NY---The Sage Colleges women’s and men’s basketball programs will be sponsoring the NCAA’s Take a Kid to the Game in conjunction with the Gators’ home Skyline Conference doubleheader on Saturday, January 7. The action will take place in the Kahl Campus Center on the campus of The Sage Colleges (Albany, NY) and commences with the women’s contest at 1 p.m. and will continue with the men’s game at 3 p.m. Sage will host the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph’s College (LI) and will sponsor a wide variety of activities in conjunction with the games. Admission is free!

In addition to a pair of half-time contests for children during the games, Sage will also be holding its “Tees-for-Threes Contests, sponsored by Recovery Sports Grill with local restaurants at Albany Med, Wolf Road and in Troy! Sage will be handing out free t-shirts for every three-point basket made by Sage’s women’s and men’s basketball teams at home games this season.

And don’t forget to also mark your calendar for the men's basketball team’s 2012 Sage Gators' Spring Break Basketball Camp. The camp will run April 9-13 in the Kahl Campus Center at The Sage Colleges (Albany, NY).  The event will provide a fun and enjoyable week of basketball to boys, ages 7-15 and runs daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp will provide area youth competitive 5 vs. 5 play, daily contests, individual instructions and great giveaways.

New this summer, Sage’s women’s basketball program will also hold the Sage Gators’ Girls’ Basketball Camp. The camp will take place June 25-29 daily in the Kahl Center at The Sage Colleges (Albany, NY). The event will provide a fun and enjoyable week of basketball to girls, ages 7-14 and runs daily, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
