Sage holds Rally 2010 events in conjunction with women's basketball game!

Troy, NY--On Tuesday, February 9, Sage held their WBCA Pink Zone contest when the College of Mount Saint Vincent visited the Neff Athletic Center (Troy). Fans were encouraged to wear pink to the contest and in lieu of an admission charge, make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Sage's athletic department also sold pink Sage t-shirts for $10 at the contest and proceeds also benefit the fund.

In conjunction with the Pink Zone contest, Sage also invited the student body to participate in the basketball initiative and tie in the events of Rally 2010!  Every spring semester at Russell Sage College the student body comes together in order to raise money to benefit the community and promote school spirit on campus. The 2010 event, entitled "Rockin with the Moosic" commenced with activities on February 4 with the kickoff rally and wraps on February 19 with the After Rally Party in Buchman. The first Rally started in 1937 with an interclass basketball game intended to lift spirits during mid-term blues. Since that time Rally has evolved into a two week event. The event in conjunction with the Sage-Mount Saint Vincent basketball game included a banner contest as well as a halftime cheering contest and overall enthusiasm and Sage pride!
